Collaboration with NPO in Taiwan
In early 2025, Chia-hua successfully facilitated a collaboration between issue+design and one of the largest non-profit organizations in Taiwan, the Hongdao Senior Citizen’s Welfare Foundation, to co-host workshops aimed at fostering a dementia-friendly society.
Here are the events held by Hongdao Senior Citizen's Welfare Foundation at the end of July 2025.
Feature Interview on Leading Media Outlets
Along with the series of collaborations with Hongdao Organization, Chia-hua successfully pitched to leading media outlets—including Global Views Magazine (遠見雜誌), 50+, Baodao Radio(寶島聯播網) and United Daily—resulting in feature interviews with the author on perspectives of dementia in both Japan and Taiwan.
Crowdfunding Campaign in Taiwan
issue+design launched its filmmaking project in May 2025 and initiated a crowdfunding campaign in Japan to support production. Taiwan became the second major market for issue+design’s crowdfunding efforts, following Japan. By August 26, the campaign had successfully reached its initial target of NTD 200,000 (approx. JPY 1 million) and finally raised NTD 443,275 (approx. JPY 2.2 million) at the closing date, November 24th 2025.
Chia-hua managed the entire crowdfunding campaign and organized a talk session on July 24, featuring Ros Lee, CEO of the Hongdao Organization, and acclaimed documentary filmmaker Li-Chou Yang. Despite heavy rain that evening, the event drew nearly 90 attendees.
